The design strategy underpinning DaVita dialysis centers includes evaluating and implementing solutions that maximize function and patient comfort. Each facility is designed to serve between 12 to 24 patients, medical and business administration staff, and accommodate a team of health care professionals who also provide home-bound care. Key components of the design include creating an environment that is highly accessible and comfortable; incorporating a range of new technologies; and creating an efficient, streamlined space programming strategy. Each patient area includes dialysis equipment, personal flat screen televisions and internet access.
Indirect lighting, used in conjunction with natural light and natural color tones, creates a soothing environment. Durable finishes allow for easy sanitation and long-term maintenance.
